EV Power Australia Pty Ltd is one of the first companies to sell parts specifically for electric vehicles to the Australian market.

Rod Dilkes is at the forefront of practical electric vehicle research and development. He holds a B.App.Sc. in Electronic Technology (Curtin Uni) and initially worked for several years in the computer industry eventually becoming an independent contractor to companies such as BP in the UK. In 1990 he decided on a sea change and cofounded a successful ceramics business in country WA. However a love of renewable technologies led him to EVs in the late 1990s. He originally converted a small car to run on battery power which became the first practical solar hybrid car in daily use in Australia, It’s still in daily use and serves as a practical test bed for Lithium Ion batteries and management systems. As well as running his on-line sales business he is currently working on battery and motor research for electric vehicles and contracts his services to several companies.
